California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) invites you and your students to our annual 2018 College: Making it Happen! Event scheduled Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the CSUB campus from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event is a countywide program for middle school students, high school students, parents, and community leaders consisting of workshops designed to emphasize opportunities after high school and the importance of early academic and financial planning. Workshop topics include A-G courses and high school requirements, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, systems of higher education, career exploration, and the value of an education. The workshops are in addition to an extensive diverse resource fair highlighting resources our community and systems of higher education have to offer for students and parents. Best of all, admission and lunch are free of cost to all participants!
