On April 30, 2026, Burroughs High School proudly hosted the Sierra Sands Unified School District’s inaugural Month of the Military Child Dinner, a special evening dedicated to honoring our military-connected students and the families who support them. The event brought our school community together in recognition of the resilience, strength, and sacrifices of our military children.
Special thanks to Student Board Member and BHS senior Jasmine Casas-Flores for initiating this meaningful event and serving as master of ceremonies and Captain Van Allen for sharing an inspiring message honoring the sacrifices and resilience of the military child. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this evening a memorable celebration of our military families.
